Takahiro Takahashisolo project
Halfby is a solo project by Takahiro Takahashi. He plays as a DJ at regular events in Kyoto and Tokyo. Coming and going various genres of music and BPM, through his ‘original matchmaker system’, in his manner of speaking, of his unique sense and humor, he appears at from little clubs in many towns to big summer festivals, moreover to the end of North Europe, where he makes anybody happy every weekend. However, the fact is that he’s a buying staff of a retail record shop at Kyoto, and on weekdays he’s struggling quietly against the latest stuff from all over the world.
His debut as Halfby was the remix album of Cubisumo Grafico in 2001. Successively followed a 12” analogue and a mini album, and his first album “Green Ours” came out in 2005. The album has been still selling so far, thank you.
Also he works as a remixer / producer / arranger on the vast field from his private friends or acquaintances to major artists. Recent works are; the remix of “ComeBAby” by Q.,indivi, and sound producing of “Tewodasuna” for GAKU-MC/Kazutoshi Sakurai (Mr. Children).
On July 26 of 2006, he released a major debut single entitled “SCREW THE PLAN”. Now he’s at hard work on the next album, which will be expected to appear in spring of 2007.
