A four piece rock band from Nara, Japan. Led and formed by the Gomi brothers in 2001.

After forming the band, they started touring in the suburbs of the Kansai district. They released their debut mini album gP.S. I miss youh in July 2004. Their high quality songs and raging style won rave reviews from various quarters. Following this release, they toured across the country with fundamental bands from todayfs rock scene such as KEN YOKOYAMA (ex Hi-Standard) and MOfSOME TONBENDER and many bands from overseas such as make believe, Shipping News, 31knots, Medications, maritime, Lungfish, Riner Maria, ben davis, and Minus the bear. They released their long awaited 1st Album gPLAY WITH ISOLATIONh from their self owned label qoop music in January 2006. Absorbing a broad range of sounds such as the 1980`1990fs emotional punk, hard core, grunge, NY Punk, post rock, the album became a master piece that contains high artistic quality and original sound that can only be played by lostage, becoming a presage of a new movement in the Japanese rock scene. After then, they eagerly preformed more than 30 shows across the country with bands that lead todayfs Japanese emo / punk / post rock scene after Hi-Standard such as ASPARAGUS, COMEBACK MY DAUGHTERS. Moreover the compliments to their recordings, their show is mind-boggling with their overwhelming performance. With their entry to the RockinfJapan Festival in August / December 2006, expectations to their shows and especially to their new work has grown much greater than to the one 2 years ago.

The two dignified dangerous guitars intertwine and create a sound that violently and gently wrap the beautiful melody and biting lyrics. It is hard to find such kind of band that combines pessimistic violence and sensitivity which is the essential charm of a rock band. These factors excite the audience and create a sensation. Gomi (Ba./Vo.)fs lyrics that have a literary style with harmonious sounds of words describe a stoic and pure world which is almost terrifying. Having a sense of antithesis to the huge music market, lostagefs pointing words and grunge sound is stimulating todayfs major music scene which places disproportionate weight on gvocal musich. This style is capturing the hearts of the teens`young adults. Not acting on commercial basis but on pure artistic basis, the members have a deep bond of music and faith. They are a band that has the potential to cut through the Japanese major scene and stir up a new rock movement. That is what lostage is.
